On Tuesday, April 7, Elmos of Durham will donate 10% of their sales to PTA of Voyager Academy Charter School. Saturday April 18, 2009, 10 a.m. - 5 p.m. Sunday April 19, 2009, 1 p.m. - 5 p.m. Location: Various Downtown Durham locations. Event participants will post large red dots in their windows and the Durham Herald will publish a map. Durham Art Walk celebrates the creative energy of our local artists, arts organizations and downtown entrepreneurs by combining downtown spaces and businesses with local artists and performers in a unique showcase weekend. Watercolor painter Joanne Penning will show her full gallery of work at during Artwalk at Exotique Boutique. Art Walk shuttle service will be provided by Durham Earth Day Festival 2009 Saturday April 25, 2009, 12 p.m. - 5 p.m. Location: CCB Plaza (201 Corcoran St.) and on Historic Parrish Street in Downtown Durham "Go Green" to this year’s celebration to enjoy great food and live music on the CCB Plaza. There will also be hands-on green activities and demos, the annual Earth Day Parade, and learn about many green practices and products at the Sustainability Expo and Earth Art Market. Landist News distributor Exotique Boutique will be a vendor during Earth Day. Many of our Distribution Partners will be open extended hours during both of these special events in Downtown Durham, including Blue Coffee Cafe, Rue Cler, and Exotique Boutique.
